WHEELER STREET on Friday 18th April 2008.   Wheeler Street, based in Maidstone, are a 7 piece band all aged between 16 and 19.  They have a passion for folk music which is clear to anyone who meets them and they produce an explosion of energy when performing that leaves the audiences clamouring for more.  All 7 have played music from an early age, acquiring instrumental skills covering a breadth of instruments that include fiddle, guitar, bass, melodeon, whistle, mandolin, concertina, drums, bouzouki and voice, with a particular skill for close harmony.  The band have something undeniably youthful and fresh in which 7 young people have added their own punkish self-confidence and fearless arena-rock style abandon to some of Englands oldest songs and made the material their own.  The concert sees the launch of their debut EP.   www.myspace.com/wheelerstreet   Tickets are £7.50 and will be available from Smarden Post Office or ring number below.   It will be a standing concert.

US.NOT THEM  on Saturday 17th May 2008.  Pink Floyd’s music is performed by Us….not them who have years of combined performing experience that you can hear in every note.  This is a highly professional Pink Floyd tribute band with no compromises.  The difference between hearing Us…not them and a live Pink Floyd album is minimal.   www.usnotthem.com  Tickets £12.50 and will be available from Smarden  Post Office or ring number below. It will be a seated concert.
