A national charity that helps older people to look after their pets in their own homes, fosters pets when owners need hospital care and when staying at home is no longer an option the charity has a list of residential / nursing homes happy to accept pets. When a pet is bereaved the charity takes care of them full time.

Action on Elder Abuse (AEA) works to protect, and prevent the abuse of, vulnerable older adults.
Ashford Counselling Service
Offer one to one confidential counselling (not drugs / alcohol) service. There is a charge on a sliding scale dependent on income.
Provides befriending services, social drop ins, reminiscence work, a mental health newsletter and information and support on the mistreatment of older people. Covers Aldington, Appledore, Hamstreet, Rolvenden, Ruckinge, Tenterden, Woodchurch and Wittersham, as well as Romney Marsh.
